Paxton was great in it…And I guess you have to credit both his acting and his directing of himself in this case. Is that how it works when the actor is the director? I guess it doesn’t matter unless we want to send him a thank-you note.

My purpose in posting this: I might start sending formal thank you notes to entertainers that do their jobs well in particular cases. Not fan letters…I mean short-form thank you notes on personalized stationery for individual achievements that have moved me. “Dear Kevin Spacey, Thanks for that one facial expression in L.A. Confidential,” “Dear Beck, Thanks for ‘Debra,’ that was a good laugh,” that sort of thing. I’m thinking calligraphy? It’s only appropriate.
